Antique Photograph This photo of the designer's mother, Alice (Reynolds) Bryant, was taken in 1933 when Alice was 16. The dress was first worn by the designer's great-grandmother Alice (Johnson) Matthews the day after her wedding in 1886 and is known as a 2nd-day dress. As designer LeEarl Bryant discovered this and other stories from her family's history, she was inspired to create GenerationsTM as a way to let others know that history can be fun and interesting.
Genealogy for Fun, Inc. designs and manufactures GenerationsTM the game of deductive reasoning that solves the mystery of make-believe family history. GenerationsTM has been positively reviewed by children, parents, historical organizations, story-telling and library professionals, genealogists, and educators and has been sold at
  • The Smithsonian American History Museum
  • New York's Metropolitan Museum of Fine Art
  • National Archives Catalogue and Store
  • Church of Latter Day Saints Museum Store
  • Dallas Old City Park
LeEarl Bryant is the designer, president, and janitor of Genealogy For Fun, Inc. This game can be played just for fun or may lead you to apply your logic reasoning skills, it provides the excitement of being a detective without the danger, and it makes history come to life. She has fun in the search and often finds lost ancestors and their stories in the process. Ms. Bryant frequently serves as a volunteer in the pre-college classroom and enjoys having students discover "reason" behind the madness of going to school. She likes showing how their new knowledge applies to everyday life. Educated as an engineer, LeEarl has a broadbased background in design, project management, marketing, and business planning and management in the telecommunications, transportation, and defense industries. She served as the 2002 President of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE)-USA (the largest engineering organization in the U.S.). She is active in several engineering and business organizations.
